Joining the Piercing Team
At Modern Mods we always aspire to attract and retain talented individuals who can see themselves building lasting career with the company, and are honored to consistently meet new individuals who are looking to join the Modern Family. One of the questions we are most frequently asked is, “how do I become a Body Piercer with your Company?”. While there is an entire philosophy behind our hiring and developing process, the short answer is: we unfortunately do not hire Team Members to be Body Piercers.
To give you a little more insight to this hiring philosophy, we first need to describe one of our Core Values when it comes to developing our Team; this particular Company Core Value is: ‘Mentor and Develop’. This Core Value describes our passion for development, in both ourselves AND others. We strive to establish relationships that foster personal growth and professional development through guidance, support and encouragement. We have adapted a ‘mentorship mentality’ which demonstrates a commitment of communication, trust, and goal-setting; we believe that this supportive dynamic within our Teams is essential for overcoming challenges and expanding professional horizons. So for us, the question is never, “who can we HIRE?”, but “who can we DEVELOP?”.
It is because of this philosophy that we ONLY hire new Team Members for our entry-level positions on our Counter Teams, and only develop/cultivate Professional Body Piercers from existing Team Members within our Company. In order to join our Lead Piercing Team, a Team Member must be employed and in good standing at Modern Mods for a minimum of one year before being considered for the development pathway which eventually leads to joining our Piercing Team.
